When you're going through mental health issues, you deal with stigma.

When you are dealing with depression, you are perceived negatively, and you must have self-care so you are not disheveled, and you must dispel misimpressions of being weak or lazy, and being treated as such.

It is not personal weakness, you must combat stigma.

Some say there are traits of schizophrenia, and magnify them to categorize in a negative way.

Stigma is being perceived in a way that is hurtful, being labeled discriminatorily.

I have been told by four psychiatrists that I have PTSD and that anxiety is a normal part of depression.

Raped, sent to Rape and Trauma, I am supposed to be grateful that I was sent to a psych ward for bed and food.

Correcting the schizophrenia misdiagnosis took away years of my life; being "sent in" (my words) took away years of my life; being labeled bipolar, and never listened to before about being raped shows the schizms in the America people prefer to be believe always exists. Great as it is, I really wish it were that way.

My first diagnosis after first being "sent in" was depression. All wards I've been to affixed "bipolar," always, at first, then at the end of treatment notice that depression continually sinking my life, and some staff actually say so, yes, if anybody had cared enough to ask.

Bipolar is not the same as being raped. I thought you should know.

Dealing with bulimia and anorexia from age 14 to 19, I really did get over it.

I wish I had never barfed because shame bid me barf. Food is a blessing.

Psychiatric medications kill the heart. I heard "enabling" was a bad word nowadays.

Who the heck can clean up American culture, with decency, courtesy, and heart, instead of admission that the dollar bill is the idol and reason, because it's true.

Being Catholic makes you the most hated in America.

Being Mormon makes you the most hated in America.

Being Jew makes you the most hated in America.

In due course, I still am, today, a Catholic Mormon Jew.

Don't even start with the stigma of the "Angry Little Asian Girl."

Internally coherent admitting stigma reinforced by others is presently and consistently problematic, but precipitates healing especially when you refuse to stigmatize yourself. There is an importance of having a supportive network of people who really care about you who speak optimistically and talk of you in positive terms. Share with those who care to stem the hurt and show with others who are hurting that you care. How you see yourself may be different from how others see you.

See all in a better light.

Do you prefer the wisdom of the serpent or the life of the dove?
