Okay, I love the chill real beats and rhymes of rapper Lektr, who is Jimmy. You can hear from the laced tracks that Lektr's raps are very top notch recent and happening and for real, what the tension in the streets bring, but the vibes are positive and through the violence of the streets addressed through his lyrics, he is not evil, but chill.
That is to say, what is the place of ebonics in our social and global American culture?
Tight lyrics like:
"EVERYBODY COMES TO ASSUMPTIONS THAT THE DEVIL'S ME"
and
"I SEE WHAT THE F-'S UP"
with these chill backgrounds and musical foundations, reveals the struggle, to me, of the person who is a minority who is a young man in America, a black man if you will (Jimmy is Italian, Filipino, African American, and Swedish) participating in the struggle, and turning the negativity through his personal lens as an artistic individual, into music that can be sent to the masses, or massive underground props should have more people, as an artistic and streetwise community Los Angeles, listening to good music, thoughtful music, which really sounds compactly produced and the fact that he made these songs means he turns the violence of angry thoughts into themes and topics which should be discussed on every American table, not even since Eminem, since the 80's and late 70's when rap music became a way for American musicians to turn poetry into beats, like a chapbook of poetry given and shared, when combined with the ethos of the independent music maker, really means that you need to look past the "Gangsta Rap" label, to see that good music is good music.
The sounds of his 2016 album Apocalypse are tougher, rougher, and no less real.
Can we reach them? asks both sides, including race, but more growner ups and the youngsters.
In mission, we must be able to bridge the cultural differences and acknowledge not just artistry but the ability to reach, to communicate, and these are worthy efforts (of Lektr).

Edited to add
Apocalypse is a different album
than the 2016 one with the Jesus as a rapper.
Newer Apocalypse has some truly raw moments.
I explore you to think: why would it be Lektr as Jesus with that on his forehead? For an album cover?
Think through to reach the dichotomy...
I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE GOOD NEW MUSIC TO LISTEN TO!!!!!!!!!!
Rap music.
